Simply Red Frontsänger Mick Hucknall. In erster Linie ist der Bandname auf einen Spitznamen des Sängers Mick Hucknall zurückzuführen. Wegen seiner roten Haare wurde er bereits in der Schule von Freunden Red genannt. Simply Red är ett brittiskt popband, grundat 1984. [1] [2] Sångare och frontman är Mick Hucknall (född 1960). Simply Red slog igenom 1986 med låten "Holding Back the Years". Albumet Stars (1991) låg på förstaplatsen på Englandslistan i 19 veckor och blev det årets mest sålda album.
1 de ene. de 2017 · Simply Red is an English pop band, formed in the mid 1980s. Simply Red's roots originate from the notorious 1976 Sex Pistols gig at the Lesser Free Trade Hall in Manchester. Manchester art student Mick Hucknall was one of the many young music fans present (along with original members of The Fall, Joy Division, The Smiths and Buzzcocks) who was inspired to form a band after witnessing that gig.
