In 2000, Ann McLaughlin married Tom C. Korologos, a former U.S. Ambassador to Belgium who had been appointed by George W. Bush. He also had been a lobbyist before becoming a White House aide during the Nixon and Ford administration. His photography was exhibited in the art gallery she purchased in 2007.

Korologos was confirmed by the United States Senate on June 25, 2004 and was sworn in as Ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium by the Chief Justice of the United States, William Rehnquist, on June 30, 2004. He is the 29th Ambassador of the United States to Belgium. Ambassador Korologos has had a wide and varied Washington experience.
