According to Chalcedonian Christians in the incarnation Jesus took on a complete human nature which was united to the divine nature of God. Jesus's body is part of his human nature and was created in the incarnation. The divine nature of God is spirit, uncreated, non-physical.

Jesus Saves Us from Our Sins. The Bible says that Jesus saves us from two things. The first thing Jesus saves us from is our sins. The angel proclaimed to Joseph, the husband of Mary (Jesus’ adopted father on earth): She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins. The Bible states that through the blood of Jesus we are forgiven and redeemed from our sins (Ephesians 1:7). His sacrifice reconciles us to God and brings peace between us (Ephesians 2:13, Colossians 1:20). It gives us direct access to our heavenly Father without the need of a human mediator or priest (Hebrews 10:19).
