Let Love Rule redefines Ledisi’s sound, while still featuring her trademark vocals, echoing everything from seventies-style soul to 21st century bounce. Executive produced by Ledisi and longtime collaborator Rex Rideout, with tracks from BJ the Chicago Kid, Kirk Franklin and John Legend.
Back in 2007, on her major-label debut CD Lost & Found, Ledisi turned her hopes and anxieties about the future into the hit “Alright.”It was a period of tight budgets, small audiences and according to Ledisi, her faith and her mother’s pep talks were the fuel that kept her keeping on when she was “sleeping on the floor” wondering if she would ever make it.
Let Love Rule is the debut studio album of American rock musician Lenny Kravitz, released on September 6, 1989, by Virgin Records. Then-wife Lisa Bonet wrote the lyrics to "Fear" and co-wrote the lyrics on the song "Rosemary"; other than that the album is virtually a one-man Kravitz show, as he wrote and produced all the songs and played nearly all the instruments.
