The studio album is incredibly consistent in sound and style, a marked change from the schizophrenia that had marked "Dr.Byrds" and "Easy Rider". It's a smooth, well-produced country rock sound with echoes of the earlier jingle-jangle, and doesn't plod like some of the numbers on "Sweetheart" or "Easy Rider" did.
