Wilko Johnson fired my excitement back in 1977 when i first saw Dr Feelgood, but until recently I hadn't seen the post-Feelgood Wilko. This is a great catch up of Wilko through the years, showing off his unique style - a method of strumming but playing melody as he strums rather than finger style lead - rapid, gunshot like riffs with an urgency and excitement like no-one else.

John Andrew Wilkinson (12 July 1947 – 21 November 2022), better known by the stage name Wilko Johnson, was an English guitarist, singer, songwriter and occasional actor.He was a member of the pub rock/rhythm and blues band Dr. Feelgood in the 1970s. Johnson was known for his distinctive guitar playing style, which he achieved by not using a plectrum but playing fingerstyle.
