The Technicolor finale in an otherwise b&w film is, I guess, the main distinguishing feature of this Vaudeville biopic musical - a genre that was a dime-a-dozen in this era. You come to these things as great lovers of the music featured, the performers, or both; for me, the draw was Ann Sheridan and Jack Carson.
