In 1994 Mike Pender's Searchers were the very first 1960s band to be invited to play on board the QE2 as part of the world famous liner's 25th anniversary celebrations.
Mike Pender, egentligen Michael John Prendergast, född 3 mars 1941 i Kirkdale i Liverpool, är en brittisk sångare och gitarrist. Pender var en av originalmedlemmarna i Merseybeat-gruppen The Searchers från dess bildande 1960 och framåt.

Mike Pender. Michael John Prendergast ( Kirkdale, 3 maart 1941) [1] is een Britse rock - en popzanger en een van de oprichters van de Merseybeat -band The Searchers. Hij is vooral bekend als de leadzanger op vele hitsingles van The Searchers, waaronder het nummer Needles and Pins en What Have They Done To The Rain? .
