With all the Zatoichi I've enjoyed digesting in the greater collection Shintaro Katsu will always be the true Zatoichi to me. Yet that doesn't hinder any other attempts at impersonations, as Takeshi Kitano did here. It doesn't matter if he's not the real Zatoichi at all, his version of Ichi is as deadly as any other and vastly entertaining.
