The Harrodian School is a private day school in Barnes, South-west London. Formerly the site of Harrods Sports Club, the original premises have been extended and converted for educational purposes. The school opened in September 1993 with 65 pupils; by 2011, the roll had grown to 925. History.
Harrodian is easily accessible and located between Hammersmith Bridge and Barnes Bridge on Lonsdale Road, along the south bank of the Thames. The nearest underground is at Hammersmith. Our history. Harrodian was founded in 1993. Before that our riverside location on the south bank of the Thames in Barnes served as a farm, a private residence and a sports club. This time line charts the history of our beautiful site as well as Harrodian's growth into maturity over its first quarter century as a school.
Summer Term 2024. Monday 15 April - Friday 5 July. Half Term: Monday 27 May to Friday 31 May. Please note that Monday 6 May is a Bank Holiday and school will be closed. 2024 - 2025. Autumn Term 2024. Thursday 5 September - Friday 13 December. Half Term: Friday 18 October to Monday 28 October inclusive.
