He was the first wizard to tell Harry the history of Sirius Black’s arrest for murder and his escape from Azkaban while Harry was riding the Knight Bus ( PA3 ).
When Harry escaped Privet Drive and had nowhere to go, he was delighted to be picked up by the Knight Bus, emergency transport for stranded witches and wizards.The bus was kitted out with beds and had hot chocolate served by the conductor, Stanley Shunpike. Stan had a habit of telling tall tales in order to impress people, which could occasionally get him into trouble!
