I'll be honest, I don't think RWBY really does that in some of the later volumes. I mean it's not exactly rejecting Nihilism when your main character decides to kill herself because a bad guy said she was a bad person, none of her friends nor sister really tried to help her emotionally, and when she died she had to be told by a godlike entity that everything she was doing was totally fine.
