Lynne Ramsay has an incredible cinematic vocabulary that I have never seen a single other person use except for Jean Marc Valle, and that was only with the Sharp Objects miniseries. The entire story of her films are almost entirely delivered through the visuals, and dialogue has barely any emphasis placed on it, and at points completely fades into background noise or goes totally silent.
