The Boat That Rocked es una película de 2009 escrita y dirigida por Richard Curtis. Fue estrenada el 1 de abril de 2009 en Reino Unido y el 13 de noviembre de 2009 en Estados Unidos. En España se estrenó el 29 de mayo con el título Radio Encubierta; en Hispanoamérica se tituló Los piratas del rock.
Sinopsis. Inglaterra, años 60. Narra la historia de Radio Rock, una emisora pirata. En 1966, la BBC sólo emitía dos horas de rock and roll a la semana. Pero la Radio Rock, que inundaba el país de rock y pop 24 horas al día, consiguió una audiencia de 25 millones de personas, más de la mitad de la población.
A boat approaches the Pirate Radio ship and drops off Young Carl (Tom Sturridge), a young man who has been expelled from school for smoking marijuana. He has been sent to spend time with his godfather Quentin (Bill Nighy), who owns the ship, allegedly to straighten him out.
