Hace 4 días · Rumi is requesting Shams to rejuvenate his dejected disciples, just like spring rejuvenates withered plants. A Guru is supposed to bring life back to the disciples who are losing hope because of lack of guidance and direction. Hence, a Guru is seen as the beginning of Spring season here. Rumi also requested Shams to melt our Frozen Hearts.

Hace 3 días · The Hashimiyya movement (a sub-sect of the Kaysanites Shia ), led by the Abbasid family, overthrew the Umayyad caliphate. The Abbasids were members of the Hashim clan, rivals of the Umayyads, but the word "Hashimiyya" seems to refer specifically to Abu Hashim, a grandson of Ali and son of Muhammad ibn al-Hanafiyya.
