End of Part One: With Denise Coffey, Sue Holderness, Tony Aitken, Fred Harris. Bringing the Pythonesque humour of cult Radio 4 series The Burkiss Way to television, this surreal, satirical soap show was the first TV series from multi-award-winning screenwriters Andrew Marshall and David Renwick.
Cast. The cast included Sue Holderness, Denise Coffey, Fred Harris, Dudley Stevens, David Simeon, and Tony Aitken. Coffey had appeared in The Burkiss Way's first 6 episodes, but Harris was the only permanent cast member to appear in End of Part One. One of the directors was future feature film director Geoffrey Sax .
She later appeared in another sketch show, End of Part One, which aired from 1979-1980. [5] In the 1970s, she was a member of director Frank Dunlop 's repertory company in London's Young Vic Theatre, appearing in several productions including Scapino (1974) and beginning her career as a playwright with some children's shows.
