After a 20-year break the legendary, influential British post punk band The Membranes have returned after being asked to play All Tomorrows Parties by former support band My Bloody Valentine. The Membranes formed out of punk and DIY culture and then went on their own path.
The Membranes are a post-punk band that formed in 1978 in Blackpool and reformed in 2010. They have released several albums and EPs, including a 5CD box set of their early works, and have a distinctive sound of heavy bass and distortion.
