Smyrna, my Beloved (Greek: Σμύρνη μου αγαπημένη) is a 2021 Greek historical epic film directed by Grigoris Karantinakis about the burning of Smyrna (today's Izmir, Turkey) by the Turkish army in September 1922. The film stars Mimi Denisi, Burak Hakki, Rupert Graves and Susan Hampshire.

Synopsis. Filio an elderly American lady decides to go to Mytilene, in the island of Lesvos, to help the refugees. She takes her unwilling granddaughter, to follow her. No one knows her secret. Almost a century ago, her family lived on that island. They were refugees as well, who came from Smyrna after the destruction of the city.
