NCIS: New Orleans follows a fictional team of Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) Special Agents stationed out of New Orleans, Louisiana and led by Supervisory Special Agent Dwayne Cassius Pride (Scott Bakula).
After thousands of classified government files are stolen, the NCIS team searches for an underground group of hackers co-founded by Pride's old contact, Elvis Bertrand, who are known for exposing corruption among prominent people in New Orleans.
NCIS Special Agent Tony DiNozzo assists the New Orleans team when a Navy lieutenant on liberty dies of the bubonic plague. The team races to locate all additional sailors on liberty, control a potential outbreak and determine the source of the highly infectious disease.
