Synopsis. Ten-year-old Angela ( Miranda Rhyne ), her six-year-old sister, Ellie ( Charlotte Eve Blythe ), and their parents Mae ( Anna Thomson) and Andrew ( John Ventimiglia) move into a new house. It is clear that Mae and Andrew, former musicians who have left the business, seem to be having marriage problems.
Angela (age 10) and Ellie (age 6) live in Catskill, New York, a run-down town that business and industry have fled. Their mother, Mae, a beautiful, glamorous, eccentrically-dressed woman, has had to abandon her singing career because of an increasingly severe case of manic depression.
