13 de sept. de 2022 · Results: In males, median (97.5th centile) NT-proBNP concentration at age <30 years was 21 (104) pg/mL, rising to 38 (195) pg/ml at 50 to 59 years, and 281 (6792) pg/mL at ≥80 years. In females, median NT-proBNP at age <30 years was 51 (196) pg/mL, 66 (299) pg/mL at 50 to 59 years, and 240 (2704) pg/mL at ≥80 years.
17 de feb. de 2020 · Eligibility criteria in PARADIGM-HF included New York Heart Association functional class II to IV, left ventricular ejection fraction ≤40%, and elevated natriuretic peptides: BNP ≥150 pg/mL or NT-proBNP ≥600 pg/mL (for patients with HF hospitalization within 12 months, BNP ≥100 pg/mL or NT-proBNP ≥400 pg/mL).

14 de oct. de 2021 · Among a very large cohort, we observed that NT-proBNP is increasingly measured in elderly patients. NT-proBNP concentrations increase with age, and the selection of the threshold value markedly impacts the proportion of “low” versus “high” results.
These data suggest that the utilization of BNP threshold of 9.6 and 29 pg/mL and NT-proBNP thresholds of 65 and 77 pg/mL for men and women, respectively, can serve as novel sex-specific BNP/NT-proBNP cut-offs, qualifying for the detection of patients with impaired long-term prognosis.
