The Palo Alto Mental Research Institute (MRI) is one of the founding institutions of brief and family therapy. Founded by Don D. Jackson and colleagues in 1958, MRI has been one of the leading sources of ideas in the area of interactional/systemic studies, psychotherapy, and family therapy.
Palo Alto. En 1967, se crea el Brief Therapy Center® como parte del Mental Research Institute – MRI. Desde el cierre del Instituto, el Brief Therapy Center® es el único sucesor del Brief Therapy Center® del MRI. Hoy es la institución líder en promoción y divulgación de la Terapia Breve de Resolución de Problemas.
