MARK LEVINSON LNP-2L. ¥ 1,180,000 (released in 1977) ¥ 1,520,000 (around 1982) Commentary. A preamplifier that was born as the highest peak of modern amplifier. The LNP-2L has been replaced with the original ML module specifications from the Burwen Corporation which was used in the LNP-2.
マーク・レヴィンソン、LNP-2 (L)は、Mr・マーク・レヴィンソンによって、本来、ミキサー・プリ・アンプとして開発されました。 ミキシング・コンソールが大きく発達していた時代に何故、ミキサー・プリ・アンプ？ と言う疑問が残りますが、何故かミキサー・プリ・アンプとして開発されました。 ただ、実際に当初のLNP-1（LNP-2を含む）の設計に当たったのは、リチャード・バウエン、ジョン・カール、トム・コランジェロとされています（諸説あり）。 Mr・マーク・レヴィンソンはプロデューサーでした。 ですが、Mr・マーク・レヴィンソンは徹底的に妥協を排す、異常な完璧主義者でした。 そうして、LNP-1の後に、LNP-2が出来上がりました。

Above: a 1973 advert for his first product, the LNP-2 pre amplifier. Although it cost $9,050 ( yup….) in 2013-dollars, a unit recently sold on eBay for $4500. … so not a terrible investment ...
現代アンプの最高峰として誕生したプリアンプ。 LNP-2Lは、LNP-2に搭載されていたBurwen社製からMLオリジナル・モジュール仕様に変更されています。 増幅部はフォノアンプ、インプットアンプ、アウトプットアンプの3段構成で、各段にチャンネルあたり1個のモジュールがあてられ、メーター用に各1個のモジュールを加えた計8個のモジュールで構成されています。 医療機器や物理学測定器などの特殊な用途に用いられていたCAMAC方式の接続端子“LEMOコネクター”による入出力端子を搭載しています。 また、Tape入出力およびMain out出力にはそれぞれキャノン型コネクターを搭載しています。 ボリュームや切替スイッチなど、各部のパーツには最高級品を投入しています。
