John Saxon (born Carmine Orrico; August 5, 1936 – July 25, 2020) was an American actor who worked on more than 200 film and television projects during a span of 60 years. He was known for his work in Westerns and horror films, often playing police officers and detectives.
Strange New World is an American made-for-television science fiction film which first aired on July 13, 1975 on ABC. It stars John Saxon as Captain Anthony Vico (PAX team leader), Kathleen Miller as Dr. Allison Crowley (team navigator and communications expert), and Keene Curtis as Dr. William Scott (team physician/medical doctor).

23 de feb. de 2023 · Warner Brothers wavered over greenlighting Genesis II as a full series but did order a second pilot with Planet Earth (1974) where the role of Dylan Hunt was recast with John Saxon. Strange New World was a third attempt to launch the Genesis II idea.
