10 de feb. de 2010 · Jimmy Durante: Hot-Cha-Cha. In a field where enthusiasm was everything, Jimmy Durante wrote the book. If somebody laughed at one of his jokes, “I got a million of ‘em” was his gleefully shouted reply.
He then proceeds with Durante's famous "Ha-cha-cha-cha" call. The 1943 Tex Avery cartoon What's Buzzin' Buzzard featured a vulture with a voice that sounded like Jimmy Durante.
His raspy voice, large "schnozzola" (nose), and multitude of catchphrases ("Am I mortified!", "That's my boy who said that!", "Hot-cha-cha-cha-cha!", "Umbriago!", "I got a million of 'em!") appear in too many cartoons to count and would have been instantly recognizable to audiences of the day.
