*This work is based on the DC Animated Movie Universe events. However, I take a different direction and ignore the imminent Darkseid attack and give the characters another development and story in order to follow my plot.
Zatanna and John hooking up in the past was one of a few ways Alan Moore and DC retroactively fit him into the DC universe as a guy who’s been everywhere, done everything, knows everyone worth knowing and pissed off most of them. The “ship” didn’t exist before then. And it really didn’t exist afterwards either.
