We are a women led, immigrant-founded nonprofit in Columbus, Ohio. In 2014, Hodan Mohammed had the vision to start a nonprofit after hundreds of hours of helping Central Ohio's Somali American community by herself. Originally an informal group of volunteers, Hodan's vision was affectionally known as "Our Helpers" by those they served.
One of Our Helpers primary functions is helping New Americans obtain employment. We accomplish this through helping people search for open jobs, write resumes, practice employment interviews, “dress for success” and teaching language skills. We have built relationships with local businesses to help the employment process go smoothly.

A neighborhood-based community center that serves the near east and near south neighborhoods of Columbus, Ohio. Programs for families include soft skills training, employment assistance, financial education training, emergency housing/rent assistance, nutrition programs, utility services, health care, parenting workshops and more.
