Lobar pneumonia is diffuse consolidation involving the entire lobe of the lung. Its evolvement can be broken down into 4 stages as follows:
6 de feb. de 2014 · Bronchopneumonia (Lobular pneumonia) is an acute exudative suppurative inflammation of the lungs characterized by foci of consolidation surrounded by normal parenchyma. Generally, it is produced by bacteria : staphylococcus, streptococcus, Haemophilus influenzae, proteus, Escherichia coli.
Bronchopneumonia presents as a typical pneumonia, originating in the larger airways and radiating to nearby alveoli. Consolidation is patchy and may be diffuse throughout the lung, but may progress to the more uniformly distributed lobar pneumonia.

8 de may. de 2021 · Acute histoplasmosis presents with bronchopneumonia and abscess formation, the reaction is dominated by Neutrophils and macrophages. In chronic forms, epithelioid cell granulomas are seen in both, however, necrotizing granulomas are more frequent in H. capsulatum-induced lesions.
OBJECTIVES--To assess histopathologists' ability to accurately diagnose bronchopneumonia, both on naked eye and microscopic examination; to extrapolate from the error rate to determine whether the role of the necropsy in monitoring the epidemiology of clinical error might be compromised.
