7 de sept. de 2021 · Then, once you combine a chestplate with an elytra using that datapack, this resource pack will give it a custom texture that shows which chestplate you used. (Ie, leather, iron, gold, etc. NOTE: Leather is just brown and will not reflect the dyed colour of the chestplate.)
15 de ago. de 2020 · Armored Elytra. Drop elytra and a chestplate above an anvil to merge them into one item. Drop the merged item above a grindstone to separate them again. Enchantments are kept safely between merging and separating. Burning a netherite armored elytra will keep the chestplate but burn off the elytra.
This mod just displays the chestplate and elytra at the same time. Either of the datapacks: Armored Elytra datapack (by Vanilla Tweaks) or Plated Elytra datapack (by Voodoo Beard) are required for using an armoured elytra. The mod: Colytra (by TheIllusiveC4) is also supported.
Wouldn't it be possible to have the combined item as a "new" item? I've seen datapacks that add items into the game and they have unique looks. Or another option would be to have a resource pack that changes the look of a renamed elytra like Cosmetic Elytra?

To craft an armored elytra just combine any chestplate with an elytra and a phantom membrane in a smithing table to bind them together. You can download the resource pack to install the accompanying textures for this data pack.
