Looking for a sturdy bike to race down a mountainside trail, they modified these old classics to deal with mountain terrain. As a precursor to the mountain bike, the 1930s Schwinns fit the bill. The autocycles and motorbicycles had sturdy frames, front suspension, and internal coaster brakes.
12 de mar. de 2008 · 1941 Schwinn Built LaSalle Autocycle. I recently acquired this from a friend. Its what I believe it to be a 41′ Schwinn . has a few 41′ only things on it but has a “F” serial making it a 40′. Any more info would be great.
1941 Schwinn Autocycle Super De Luxe 1941 was the pinnacle for the Schwinn Autocycle. This year saw many changes that would last into the postwar era including a new style embossed tank, big feather chain guard, and Mesinger B1, sliding rail seat.
