6 de jul. de 2022 · Ojka’s ending, even though complete in itself, leaves enough room for Joon-ho Bong or anybody else to take the story forward. The question here is not whether there can be a sequel to Okja, but whether Netflix wants one. The answer to which we don’t know yet.
Okja is recaptured and the ALF members are arrested, except for Mija and Jay, who are rescued by a remorseful K. Nancy starts full production at the slaughterhouse. K, Mija, and Jay travel to a processing plant in search of Okja, and find her being forced up a ramp into a slaughterhouse.
Okja sees Bong Joon-ho continuing to create defiantly eclectic entertainment -- and still hitting more than enough of his narrative targets in the midst of a tricky tonal juggling act.

In the superb new Netflix movie about a gentle giant, the Mirando Corporation ― the central enterprise that manufactures “super-pigs” to be raised for 10 years and then killed for mass consumption ― can’t be stopped, not even by militant animal-rights fighters.

It tells the story of a pig-like creature who is snatched from its young owner, Mija (Ahn Seo-hyun), by Lucy Mirando (Tilda Swinton), the head of a nefarious corporation.
