Ray Finkle is an imposter lieutenant in the Miami-Dade Police Department, formerly the professional kicker for the Miami Dolphins, and the main antagonist of the first movie.
Ray Finkle, also known as "Lt. Lois Einhorn", is the main antagonist of the 1994 film Ace Ventura: Pet Detective. He was the former popular kicker for the Miami Dolphins group, but was ultimately dismissed for costing the team a Super Bowl win.
His investigation leads him to Ray Finkle, a disgraced former Dolphins placekicker who missed the potentially game-winning kick in the 1984 Super Bowl and blamed quarterback Dan Marino for it. Ventura also learns that Finkle had been committed for homicidal tendencies shortly after the Dolphins released him following the Super Bowl loss.
