However, class sizes are small, with an average of just 11 pupils. Founded in 1935, Millfield is a diverse community and it was also one of the first co-educational schools in the country. It has a good reputation academically, but it is not a high flying ‘hot house’. There is a strong emphasis on digital learning and all students have an ipad.
