Catherine Brigid Cronin (née Kiernan; 26 January 1892 – 25 July 1945) was an Irish woman widely known as the fiancée of Irish revolutionary leader and Chairman of the Provisional Government, Michael Collins.

Michael Collins was a key figure in Ireland’s battle for independence from British rule in the early 20th century. He fought in the Easter Rising as a young man in 1916 and was imprisoned but spared execution. When he was released Collins became a major player in the Irish resistance.
A 1922 letter from Collins to his fiancée Kitty Kiernan has been donated to Ireland’s National Library after it was discovered in County Clare.
