Neither goes before singular countable nouns. We use it to say ‘not either’ in relation to two things. Neither can be pronounced /ˈnaɪðə (r)/ or /ˈni:ðə (r)/. Neither parent came to meet the teacher. (The mother didn’t come and the father didn’t come.) Neither dress fitted her.

12 de sept. de 2022 · Usualmente cuando “either” y “neither” se usan como conjunción, se usan junto a los palabras “or” y “nor”. “Either/or”: se usan juntan para ofrecer una elección entre dos cosas. Por ejemplo: “You can either call me at home or the office”. / Puedes llamarme a casa o a la oficina.
Es una cosa o la otra (o “either” o “neither” ). Pero ambas palabras nunca son posibles en la misma frase. Para saber cuál utilizar, hay que fijarse en si el verbo está en forma negativa o afirmativa. Si el verbo es afirmativo: NEITHER. Si el verbo es negativo: EITHER.
