Death Valley Days is an American old-time radio and television anthology series featuring true accounts of the American Old West, particularly the Death Valley country of southeastern California. Created in 1930 by Ruth Woodman, the program was broadcast on radio until 1945.
As the Donner Party attempts to cross the Sierra Nevada Mountains, the Reed family is banished after an altercation leads to death. They endure heavy snow and dwindling food but daughter Virginia shows courage beyond her years.
In the small High Sierras town of Bodie, a modest seamstress has settled down unnoticed. But what the townspeople do not know is that this woman used to be acclaimed as Tiger Lil, the star singer of Virginia City, during the gold rush days. Her life was turned upside down when her lover dumped her.
