Rumpelstiltskin is the main antagonist in the DreamWorks film, Shrek Forever After. He is a very evil short man who makes magical transactions with people, claiming to solve all their problems, but when the people sign the deal they find that they have signed their life over to Rumpel.
Plot. In flashback, King Harold and Queen Lillian are about to sign the kingdom of Far Far Away over to Rumpelstiltskin ("Rumpel") in exchange for lifting the curse of their daughter, Princess Fiona – cursed to transform into an ogre nightly and locked in a tower until rescued by her "true love".
Shrek turns himself in, in order to get the deal of a lifetime, which Rumpelstiltskin offered to whosoever turned Shrek in. He makes a deal with Rumpelstiltskin to free all the ogres. He keeps Fiona, however, because she's not all ogre, due to her curse.
