7 de mar. de 2017 · PEER REVIEWED. EXTERNAL STUDY. A study that quantitatively assesses polar bear pacing finds that it indicates the animals are disconnected from their captive environment. Among the various stereotypic behaviors that captive animals show, pacing is one of the most common. Among animals housed in zoos, pacing is widely reported.
