Eve grew up in Ladbroke Grove, London, and is the daughter of a design journalist and an actress. She attended Oxford’s Lincoln College, where she studied English. After graduating from Oxford, her professional debut came at the Southwark Playhouse as Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing.
She was awarded the 1999 London Critics Circle Theatre Award (Drama) for Most Promising Newcomer for her performance in 'Tis Pity She's a Whore performed at the Young Vic Theatre. Nominated for the 2008 Tony Award (New York City) for Actress in a Drama for "The Homecoming".
