He appeared as Shane Donovan on the soap opera Days of Our Lives from 1984 to 1992. His character's romance with Patsy Pease's character, Kimberly Brady, made the duo into a soap supercouple and revived interest in Days among teenage viewers in the 1980s.
Brief Character History. Shane came to Salem to keep an eye on Stefano DiMera's illegal dealings. He posed as Larry Welch's butler, and eventually learned of Stefano's acquisitions of two of three rare prisms designed by Larry's father. Shane teamed up with Bo, and the two intended on taking Stefano down.

Of course, his first storyline is full of action and crime fighting as he arrives in town to spy on Stefano DiMera's illegal activity. Shane goes undercover and teams up with Bo Brady in order to bust Stefano.
