Dana D'Angelo was initially the girlfriend of Gabriel O'Hara, the younger brother of the geneticist Miguel O'Hara. She then cheated on him with Miguel, who was also cheating on his then girlfriend, Xina .

Dana shoved Venom, allowing Xina to escape, but was killed by S.H.I.E.L.D. bullets passing through Venom. While Venom eluded the authorities, Dana died in Spider-Man’s arms. Miguel returned to Alchemax, demanding answers from his researchers on how to stop Venom.
When Dana is killed, Xina witnesses Miguel as Spider-Man mourn over her body. [5] She later visits Miguel for emotional support only to be turned away; when he goes to see Xina at her apartment, she advises Miguel to run Alchemax. [6]
Following a stroke a month later, she finally passed away on July 15, 1996, aged just 32. Tragically, this would not be the only such loss suffered by her family: Hill’s sister, Beth Goetz, also suffered from diabetes and had already died from complications related to the disease.
