They are briefly overcome by visions and tumultuous emotions elicited by the fifth Eclipse, which ultimately condense into a heart covered in thorns – the final fragment. When Farnese places the heart inside the now repaired effigy, the dream is ended and Casca awakens in the real world.
They realize that to heal Casca, they have to gather the pieces of Casca's memories scattered across the wasteland and mend the doll. Suddenly, cloak monsters appear again to impede their progress. Schierke reveals two items in her purse she brought from her own dream – a golem doll and an eye amulet – and uses them to ward off the monsters.
Casca's dream sequence, and the portrayal of Guts, especially is such a marvel and such a joy to experience. It's surprisingly simple too, which makes it even more enjoyable. Casca is literally broken in her dream, and she has to be restored piece by piece.
Schierke and Farnese wander Casca 's dreamscape, experiencing and collecting various "memory fragments" of her treasured years as a Band of the Falcon member, and in turn gradually restoring a fragmented effigy representing the state of her mind.

Casca represents Guts's possibility of happiness and piece, which is actually his and Casca's ultimate dream. I also think Casca is underrated character in general because people like talking about Guts-Griffith and their relationship and philosophy and goals.
