As anyone who has seen the movie will tell you, the Eraserhead baby is the stuff of nightmares. The baby itself is famous for being somewhat of a mystery. David lynch refuses to discus the baby, what it is, how it was created, or why it's so gosh darn creepy.

Eraser head baby is complete! He’s made from sculpty, doll eyes and has a copper wire and tinfoil base. My mom helped me with the swaddle. He’s around 11 - 10 inches long and is quite light since his armature isn’t heavy. I’m thinking about possibly selling these in the future for 80 or 85 on etsy (the swaddle would be higher quality).
Baby (also known as Spike) is the inhuman offspring of Mary X and Henry Spencer. The baby is an object of disgust for both Mary and Henry. At the close of the film, Henry cuts away the baby's swaddling clothes, only to find that the baby doesn't have any skin.
I believe they gave it a burial after the film was made. Don’t worry about what it’s made of. It’s a fucking masterpiece and you need to watch it. It’s said that it’s made out of an animal fetus but that’s just a rumor. David lynch to this day hasn’t revealed what it is. A very well done animatronic.
