The Kinks are an English rock band from Muswell Hill, London. Formed in January 1963, the group originally comprised the Davies brothers Ray (lead vocals, rhythm guitar) and Dave (lead guitar, backing vocals), Pete Quaife (bass, backing vocals), and Mick Avory (drums). [1]
