It had a leak in the charcoal canister that was causing my check engine light to come on, and a message telling me to check my gas cap. I had the evap system fixed, and the check engine light is off. It still has the message "Check gas cap" on the information center.

  3. 22 de oct. de 2021 · I had to change out a crankshaft position sensor, because once my Jeep warmed up it would die. After it cooled for 5 minutes, I was able to start it back up no problem. But then it would die. I received a camshaft/crankshaft sensor code. I changed out the crankshaft pos sensor and no more problem. It can be a mix of things.

It’s why the 78-79 Ford kingpin Dana 60 is so highly desirable for YJ guys with it’s 31.5” centerpin to centerpin measurement and centersection cast SOA leaf spring mount. Also one reason why guys have to outboard their front springs to run the early Chevy Dana Kingpin 60’s.

The 96-99 XJs, and any TJ axle shaft will have the larger 297x u-joints. (Make sure you don't get one with CV joints!) It’s great that you’re taking care of the CCV valves and the air filter in the meantime. When you get a chance, swapping the incorrect part and cleaning the towers should help.

  9. 21 de jun. de 2022 · I have a 1988 YJ 4.2 with 5 speed. Will a 1993 4.0 out of a Jeep Cherokee bolt up to this transmission. I believe trans is a AX15, has aluminum spacer but drain plug is on passaged side like AX5.
