Walgett is a town in northern New South Wales, Australia, and the seat of Walgett Shire. It is near the junctions of the Barwon and Namoi Rivers and the Kamilaroi and Castlereagh Highways. In 2016, Walgett had a population of 2,145. In the 2016 census, there were 6,107 people in the Walgett Local Government Area.

Walgett is a friendly Outback town near the junction of the Namoi and Barwon Rivers, where you can visit the gravesite of Jimmy Little, the memorial mural of the Australian Art Silo Trail, and the free artesian bore baths. Walgett is also the gateway to the opal fields of Lightning Ridge and the Darling River Run road trip, as well as Pilliga National Park and the Great Inland Way.
