Noel David Redding (25 December 1945 – 11 May 2003) was an English rock musician, best known as the bass player for the Jimi Hendrix Experience and guitarist/singer for Fat Mattress.
Cork is a rock duo/supergroup consisting of Eric Schenkman (formerly of the Spin Doctors) and Corky Laing (formerly of Mountain). [1] Though not an official member, the duo have worked closely with Noel Redding (formerly of The Jimi Hendrix Experience), who has both toured with and recorded with Cork. [2] The group has released two albums, 1999's Speed of Thought and 2003's Out There.

29 de jul. de 2024 · And if you think that’s weird, get this: Jimi Hendrix’s old sideman Noel Redding is the bass player! The results are as varied as you’d figure; everything from bluesy folk to Mississippi Queen-style rock to alt-country quirk that suggests an updated Dr. Hook.
The trio toured in late 1997, and early the following year Schenkman and Laing began writing songs for a proposed LP; though Redding did not sign on with the new group, he did appear on several of the cuts which ultimately comprised Cork's 1999 debut LP Speed of Thought. ~ Jason Ankeny
