Biografía. Desde sus inicios, se orientó hacia la creación interdisciplinar y multimedia. Tras la obtención de un doctorado en psicoacústica en la Universidad de Míchigan, se integró en la Manhattan School of Music. Entre 1957 y 1964, compuso piezas de música electrónica para el Space Theatre.
