Huascarán National Park (Spanish: Parque Nacional Huascarán) is a Peruvian national park that comprises most of the mountain range known as Cordillera Blanca (the world's highest tropical mountain range) which is part of the central Andes, in the region of Ancash.
Huascarán ( Spanish pronunciation: [waskaˈɾan]) ( Quechua: Waskaran ), Nevado Huascarán or Mataraju is a mountain located in Yungay Province, Department of Ancash, Peru. It is situated in the Cordillera Blanca range of the western Andes.

Mount Huascaran reaches a summit of 22,205 feet (6,768 m) making it the tallest point in Peru, the highest snow-covered mountain in the world’s tropics, and the fourth highest mountain in the Western Hemisphere. It is also the 4 th tallest mountain in South America with the tallest being Aconcagua. The mountain features two summits.
