Welcome to The Guards Museum. We are The Guards Museum: representing the soldiers that you may have seen guarding Buckingham Palace. We cover nearly 400 years of rich history behind the five regiments of Foot Guards – a history that spans from the beginning of the British Army to the present day.

It is in Wellington Barracks on Birdcage Walk near Buckingham Palace, which is the home of the five regiments of Foot Guards (the Grenadier Guards, Coldstream Guards, Scots Guards, Irish Guards, and Welsh Guards ).
About the museum. The museum was originally founded as a teaching aid for new recruits to learn their Regimental heritage. Today we enable a diverse public audience to discover the multi-faceted nature of the soldiers operational lives, both in combat and on ceremonial duties.
